I prayed in the beginning. We read Nehemiah 9 and 10.
Hiyori said she saw that from the way God helped the Israelites every time they cried out for help, even when their situation was always a result of their own disobedience, God had a big and compassionate heart. From this, she learned to also have a heart of compassion, like forgiving others even if they do something bad repeatedly. She also shared that she is ready to go back to school.
Seiyu said that he learned God’s patience through the repeated rebellion by the Israelites and God giving them a second chance. He shared that he thinks it’s important to have the same patience and be slow to anger. He shared that he is planning his upcoming trip to Japan with his mom.
Kana shared that chapter 9 reminded her of the 1st generation of Israelites and showed her how great God is for saving the Israelites, even though the bad things happening were their fault for being stiff-necked. She said she drew a comparison to the Israelites during Joshua’s time and learned that being obedient to God was important. She shared that her job started and even though there were fewer staff than usual, it was not as hard as she expected.
I shared that I learned it’s important to acknowledge God’s presence more in my life. I shared that because the Israelites didn’t do this, they continued to disobey Him and stray away to other Gods.
I also shared that I started working at a bagel store.
In the end, we prayed that the events for MLK would be a time of good fellowship and encouragement among everyone who attends(1Th 5:11). Hiyori prayed, and we prayed in tongues after.

初めに私が祈りました。ネヘミヤ９、１０章を読みました。
ひよりは神様が、イスラエル人が助けを求めるたびに、それが自分たちの不従順の結果であっても、毎回助けてくださった様子から、神様は大きくてあわれみの心を持っている方だと学んだと話していました。このことから、たとえ誰かが自分に対して繰り返し悪いことをしてきても、許して、あわれみの心を持つことをしていくと話してました。また、学校の準備をしてると言ってました。
せいゆは、イスラエル人が何度も反抗してるにもかかわらず、神様が彼らに何度もチャンスを与えていた様子から、神様の忍耐を学んだと言ってました。自分も同じように忍耐を持つこと、怒るのに遅くあることの大切さを学んだと話してました。そして、今度日本に行く計画をお母さんとたてていると話してました。かなは、9章の話が第一世代のイスラエル人と同じようで、彼らが頑固に神さまの言われたことを聞かなかった結果、悪いことがおきたのに神様が救ってくれたことから神様の偉大さを知ったと話してました。また、ヨシュアの時代のイスラエルの民と比較して、神様に従順であることの大切さを学んだと話しました。仕事が始まったこと、そしていつもよりスタッフが少なかったけど、思ったほど大変ではなかったことを話してました。
私は、毎日の生活の中でもっと神様の存在をもっと認めることが大切だと学んだと話しました。イスラエル人はそれをしなかったため、神様にそむいたり、他の神々を礼拝したりしまったと話しました。あとは、ベーグル屋で働き始めたことをシェアしました。最後に、MLKの日にやるアクティビティが、みんなにとって良い交わりと励ましの時となるように祈りました（1テサ5:11）。ひよりが祈り、その後みんなで異言で祈りました。
