We started at around 7:30, and the participants were Timothy, Emiri, Hiyori, Akari, and Seiyu. We read 2 Kings 17, and Hiyori learned that actions that humans take, good or bad, deeply reside inside their hearts. She also shared how the reason why the Israelites couldn’t stop idol worship was because they worshipped idols in the past and didn’t repent to God. She also said that having a good mindset regarding the flyer time will allow God to lead her along the right path. Regarding her week, she shared that today she went to various places to post the piano concert posters. She also shared that she couldn’t go to her in-person class this week due to the LA riots.
Emiri said that through this chapter, she was able to realize how bad the idol worshippers were back then. She also learned that it is important to put God first. Regarding her week, she shared that she enjoys her mathematics class and that she has an upcoming school field trip to Oxy College. Akari learned that nothing good comes from serving two things, such as worshipping God and idols. She also said that it is important to do things that you know are good. She also shared that she wants to have the mindset of taking action right away and not procrastinating. Regarding her week, she shared that the highlight of her week was yesterday.Timothy shared that you cannot serve two masters at once and that he sometimes forgets how good God is.
He also shared that he wants to dedicate more time to God by reading the Bible instead of looking at Instagram. Regarding his week, he shared that summer school has been fairly easy for him, especially his chem class. I learned that the Israelites didn’t fear God as they continued to worship idols. Regarding my week, I shared that I thought I was going to die today, as when I was bench pressing, I couldn’t lift the weight up completely on my last rep. Thankfully, a nice man came to help me lift the weight up. I thank God that he saved me from a near accident.
