We started reading at 7:33, and the participants were Tomas, Timothy, Emiri, Hiyori, Akari, and Seiyu. We read 2 Kings 11, and Hiyori learned God has a plan for everyone and that it is important to follow the words of people who guide you. Regarding her week, she shared that she went to one of the in-person summer classes, which is anthropology, and she also shared how she put the posters of the piano concert around her school. Akari learned that during the time in 2 Kings 11, the country was unstable and women/children couldn’t rule back then. She thought it was crazy that Athaliah ruled and that Joash ruled when he was 7. She also shared that this was all part of God’s plan.
Regarding her week, she shared that she went to see her cats a lot this week. Emiri learned that King Joash helped bring people back to God, like Jesus did, and she also learned that God will always have a way for us to go back to him. She shared that she had several days where school ended early and that on one of those days she played Flapjack with friends, which was fun.
Timothy learned that when he prays and does things like repent, he should immediately put it into action and not wait for God. Regarding his week, he shared that he had finals this week and that he had a CPR test. He also shared that he talked to his friend about his friend’s breakup, which led to them conversing about God. Tomas shared that he thought it was interesting how Joash was king at the age of 7. I learned that Jehoshaba has a strong level of commitment and dedication to hiding Joash for a long 6 years. I learned that she was able to do so as God guided and led her.
