Morning Bible Reading 9/9

2 Chronicles 5-6

What We Learned:
Reading this passage, I could see how much Solomon had the wellbeing of others on his mind, it wasn’t just for his people but for other foreigners  as well. The reason being that he was always trying to do God’s will, in other words, he was always putting God first. Therefore, his mind was always in line with God. I want to be able to do the same thing as well, to put God first and come to have the same mind as him.
Kanami learned about the humbleness of Solomon. By humbleness, she means, that Solomon knew that God would always take care of him and his kingdom. Thus, the reason why he gave out all those scenarios in his prayer in ch. 6, it’s because he knew God’s loving character and would hear his requests for his people and anyone else who came to his kingdom.
Our Weeks:
Kanami shared how yesterday, she went out with Ulan and Kat after their house church to play tennis together and she had a great time. She also shared how she went to practice with her group at the Narikawa house.
I shared how I spent practically the whole day with James and Timothy after the meeting on Saturday. I had a great time practicing, eating, and talking with them.
We then talked about our final edits to the newsletter before presenting it.
