We started reading at around 7:03, and the participants were Timothy, Emiri, Hiyori, Akari, Tomas, and Seiyu. We read 1 Kings 22 and 2 Kings 1. Hiyori learned that it’s important to listen to what God says and to take action and repent for your wrongdoings. She shared that she went to pass out flyers with Akari and studied for her final exams. Tomas learned that King Ahab didn’t listen to the “bad things” Micaiah told him, which were actually good things in God’s sight. He shared that he feels ashamed at times when he gets criticised or scolded, and that he should see those times as ways he can improve himself in God’s sight. Emiri learned that God gave Ahaziah a chance to repent, but he didn’t take that chance, and he chose to follow and listen to a false god. She also shared that it’s her choice whether to listen to the words of her friends/teachers or God and that she wants to remain in God’s path and in his words. Regarding her week, she shared that she finished her hydroponic system and that she grew various fruits and vegetables, such as different kinds of strawberries and sweet peppers.
Akari learned that King Ahab and King Ahaziah lacked humbleness as they knew that the prophets of God were saying the right things. She also added that it’s important to follow your conscience to differentiate between what’s right and wrong. She also shared that she completed a final project for her computer science class. Timothy also shared that the kings lacked humbleness, and he also said that he needs humbleness in his daily life to be able to separate worldly ideas from God’s ideas/words. He shared that his cat got spayed and that he stayed up until 3 am this week to call different vets as his cat had various problems with things such as her recovery cone. I learned that it’s important to be humble and to admit you’re in the wrong when God scolds you and to humbly accept his words. This applies to what the pastor or Masami-sensei says and to humbly accepting their teachings.
