5/15 Evening Bible Reading

毎週木曜日と土曜日の午後７時半から聖書朗読をすることにしました。午後７時半から読み始め、参加者はトーマス、エミリ、ひより、アカリ、セイユでした。列王記下２章を読み、

最初にひよりが分かち合いました。彼女は、神の預言者を敬うことの大切さ、そして列王記下２章でエリシャを罵倒する子どもたちは、エリシャ/神を敬っていない悪い例であることを学びました。今週の課題については、最後の試練がもう１つ残っていると話しました。

セイユはエリシャがエリヤの霊の２倍を受け継ぎたいという強い願いを持っていたように、強い願いを持つことが重要だと学びました。この特性を自分自身にも当てはめ、神に願い事をする時など、強い願いを持つようにすることを分かち合いました。「God of Wonders」のギターコードを練習したことも分かち合いました。

アカリは、物質的な現実ではなく、霊的な現実に焦点を当て、見つめることが大切だと学びました。例えば、子供たちはエリシャの霊的な権威を感じたり見たりすることができなかったので、エリシャを軽蔑していました。彼らは彼が禿げていることしか見えず、そのため彼に侮辱を投げつけたくなりました。彼女は今週のことについて、期末試験があと１日残っていることと、最近ビーズや小さなレースなど、様々な工芸品を作っていることを共有しました。

エミリは、神の国の事柄に関しては粘り強くあることが良いことを学びました。例えば、エリシャはエリヤに従い、彼の願いを彼に伝えることに粘り強かったです。彼女はまた、強い願望を持ち、物理的な状況に動揺しないことが大切だとも共有しました。

トーマスは今日の章については何も共有しませんでしたが、来週コンサートがあり、スターウォーズの曲を演奏することを共有しました。

ティモシーは猫に関する用事があったため、今日の聖書朗読に参加できませんでした。

We decided to read from 7:30 pm every Thursday and Saturday. We started reading at 7:30 pm, and the participants were Tomas, Emiri, Hiyori, Akari, and Seiyu. We read 2 Kings 2, and Hiyori shared first, and she learned that it’s important to respect God’s prophets and how the kids in 2 Kings 2 who shouted insults at Elisha were bad examples, as they didn’t respect Elisha/God. Regarding her week, she shared that she has one more final test left.

Seiyu learned that having a strong desire, like how Elisha had a strong desire to inherit a double portion of Elijah’s spirit, is important. He shared that I can apply this characteristic to myself and to have a strong desire when doing things such as presenting requests to God. I shared that I practiced the guitar chords of “God of Wonders.”

Akari learned that it’s important to focus and look at the spiritual reality instead of the physical reality. For example, the kids disrespected Elisha because they didn’t sense or see Elisha’s spiritual authority. They only saw that he was bald, which made them want to hurl insults at him.

Regarding her week, she shared that she has one more day of finals left and that lately she’s been making various crafts such as beads and small laces.

Emiri learned that it’s good to be persistent regarding things of God’s kingdom. For example, Elisha was persistent in following Elijah and presenting his request to him. She also shared that it’s important to have a strong desire and to not be wavered by physical circumstances.

Tomas didn’t share anything about today’s chapter, but he shared that he has a concert next week and that he’ll be playing a song from Star Wars.

Timothy couldn’t join today’s Bible reading as he had to do something that involved his cat.
