Nehemiah 12-13

From ch. 13, I learned about how the Israelites were not consistent in their obedience towards God. It reminded me of what God taught me through Masami-san in a phone call that day. Regarding the matter, she told me how it’s important to remember that what I do is between me and God. When I go to heaven, it will just be me standing in front of God. She told me that there is no excuse that I can make where I get to blame others for the result of my actions. Thus, I was reminded that I should have that mindset in whatever I choose to do.
Week:
I shared how I had a very good time with everyone on Monday. I enjoyed all the activities. The hiking was very scenic and it was exciting to be with everyone that early in the morning. The skating was also really nice. I was able to get the hang of things and was able to skate better than the first time. I was also surprised at how much better everyone had gotten.

Emiri:
She learned that people tend to stray towards the wrong path without supervision. She realized that it is easy to stray from God’s path: although these people said they would follow, their actions said otherwise. If we end up living for ourselves, that is when we tend to stray. So, it’s important to be able to listen to our conscious. However, when we do stray and God sends someone to help us, we need to be humble enough to accept his words.
Week
She shared how she entered an architecture internship which will begin soon. During the internship, she will get to visit many sites, which she is excited about. She also mentioned that she enjoyed watching the sunrise with the youth on Monday.

Timothy:
Timothy learned that it’s important to not look at what’s going on around him. The only thing that matters is his relationship with God and not those around him. The Israelites kept straying even though they experienced God’s miracles and the joy from understanding his word. It made him wonder why people like Nehemiah are able to stay so in touch with God while the Israelites struggled with this? And how do they resist the temptation to stray? For example, in his case, he knows he should write the testimony, but he hates doing it. He also pointed out Nehemiah’s prayer to God in v.14. He can see how strong of a connection Nehemiah had with God; it was something real. Timothy also desires to have this strong relationship to the point where he can boldly say, like Nehemiah, “Remember me.” Thus, he hopes he can dedicate himself to God more and also be more faithful in listening to the messages.
Week:
He shared how he enjoyed the hike on Monday, but the ice skating wasn’t fun as he kept slamming into the wall and having to get up causing his legs to hurt and his arms to be sore.

Tomas:
Tomas learned that he shouldn’t give into world habits (e.g. v.23: men of Judah marrying foreign women). Thus, he should stay with God and not turn away from him no matter the circumstances.
Week:
Tomas enjoyed both the hiking and ice skating. Hiking was good cardio for him. He thought he’d suck at ice skating, but, he was actually pretty good.

Prayer:
I prayed about Kana and Akari’s upcoming birthdays. I believe we (the youth) will do some type of event to celebrate, so, I asked for the Holy Spirit’s guidance that we can come together as the youth to come up with something that will be good for them (Kana and Akari) and everyone will enjoy.

13章から、イスラエル人が神への従順において一貫性がなかったことを学びました。それは、その日マサミさんとの電話で神が私に教えてくださったことを思い出させました。そのことについて、彼女は、自分がすることすべては自分と神との間のことであることを覚えておくことが重要だと教えてくれました。天国に行ったとき、私はただ神の前に立つだけです。自分の行動の結果について他人のせいにする言い訳はできない、と彼女は言いました。ですから、何をするにしても、そのような心構えを持つべきだと改めて気づかされました。
今週：
月曜日に皆さんととても楽しい時間を過ごしたことを分かち合いました。すべてのアクティビティを楽しみました。ハイキングは景色がとても素晴らしく、早朝に皆さんと一緒にいられたことが嬉しかったです。スケートも本当に楽しかったです。コツをつかむことができて、前回よりも上手に滑ることができました。皆がどれほど上達していたかにも驚きました。

エミリ：
彼女は、監督者がいないと人は間違った道に迷いやすいことを学びました。神の道から外れるのは簡単だと気づきました。これらの人々は従うと言っていましたが、彼らの行動はそうではありませんでした。もし私たちが自分のために生きるようになると、迷いやすいのです。ですから、良心に耳を傾けることが重要です。しかし、迷ってしまったとき、神が助けてくれる人を送ってくださったら、謙虚にその人の言葉を受け入れる必要があります。
今週
彼女は、間もなく始まる建築インターンシップについて話しました。インターンシップでは多くの現場を訪れることができ、それを楽しみにしているそうです。また、月曜日にユースの皆さんと一緒に日の出を見たことも楽しかったと話していました。

ティモシー：
ティモシーは、周りの状況に目を向けないことが重要だと学びました。大切なのは、周りの人ではなく、神との関係だけです。イスラエル人は、神の奇跡を経験し、神の言葉を理解する喜びを味わったにもかかわらず、迷い続けました。ネヘミヤのような人々は、なぜイスラエル人が苦労しているのに、神とこれほど深く繋がっていられるのだろうかと疑問に思いました。そして、彼らはどのようにして迷いの誘惑に抵抗しているのだろうか？例えば、彼の場合、証言を書くべきだと分かっているのに、書くのが嫌だと思っています。彼はまた、14節のネヘミヤの神への祈りにも言及しました。ネヘミヤが神とどれほど強い繋がりを持っていたか、それがどれほど真実なものだったかを彼は理解しています。ティモシーもまた、ネヘミヤのように「私を覚えていてください」と大胆に言えるほど、そのような強い関係を築きたいと願っています。そのため、彼は神にもっと献身し、メッセージにもっと忠実に耳を傾けたいと思っています。
今週：
彼は月曜日のハイキングは楽しかったと話しましたが、アイススケートは壁に何度もぶつかって転び、立ち上がるたびに足が痛くなり、腕も筋肉痛になったので楽しくなかったと話しました。

トマス：
トマスは、世俗的な習慣に染まってはいけないことを学びました（例：23節のユダの人々が異国の女性と結婚したこと）。したがって、彼はどんな状況であっても神に留まり、神から離れてはならないと学びました。
今週：
トマスはハイキングとアイススケートの両方を楽しんだそうです。ハイキングは良い有酸素運動になりました。アイススケートは苦手だと思っていたそうですが、実際にはかなり上手だったそうです。

祈り：
カナとアカリの誕生日が近いので、そのことについて祈りました。私たち（青年たち）は何かお祝いのイベントをすると思うので、聖霊の導きを求めて、青年たちが集まって、彼女たち（カナとアカリ）にとって良いもの、そしてみんなが楽しめるものを企画できるように祈りました。

ネヘミヤ12-13章

あかり：ネヘミヤが神殿の聖別をした事を読んだけれど、もしネヘミヤがいなくなったら、イスラエル人はまた同じように物を売ったりすると考えたこと。彼らが変わるためには、悔い改める必要がある事。このことから、イエスと神殿の聖別の事を思い出した事をシェアしました。自分はネヘミヤのように、正しいことを選び、行うことで、自分をもっと聖別して、神様のことをリスペクトしていく事が必要だとシェアしました。
今週やった事として、昨日から新学期が始まり、サイバーセキュリティやその他の必修科目のクラスをとっているとシェアしていました。

かなみ：イスラエル人が喜びをもって神を賛美したのは良いことでしたが、後に人々は真剣さを失ってしまいました。ここから、彼女は自己中心的にならず、神を礼拝することの大切さを学びました。また、イエスがしてくださったことを思い出し、感謝し、それを他の人に伝えることの大切さも学びました。
今週の出来事として、ボスが怪我（火傷）をしたので、職場でボスをヘルプしたことをシェアしていました。また、家の教会でそのボスの回復のために祈ったこともシェアしていました。

ひより：読んだ所から、心の中から聖別することの大切さを学びました。なぜ聖別するのかを知っていく事、そして、一週間を通して日曜礼拝に向けて生活することの大切さも学びました。
私は新学期が始まったこと、そして取っている科目のうち、運動科ライティングの授業は、沢山の事を読んで書いていく物があるとシェアしました。

せいゆ：ここの章ではネヘミヤのように、自分の行動に責任を持つことの大切さを学びました。これを適用して、自分がユースのリーダーになった時は、グループで行う活動に責任を持つ必要があると気づいたとシェアしました。
今週は、らんじゃさんの誕生日だったので、家族でベトナム料理店に行って祝ったこと、そしてケーキも食べたことをシェアしていました。

最後にあかりが、大津さんが数週間、仕事で不在になるため、大津さんとテモテのために祈りました。

Akari: From Nehemiah leading sanctification of temple by put all things in order, but if Nehemiah was gone, Israelites will go back doing same selling goods and not keeping to sanctify temple, so in order for them to change, they had to repent. And this reminded her about Jesus and temple sanctification. So applying that, like Nehemiah, I need to sanctify and respect God, by choosing and do what is right.

She shared that she started new semester yesterday, and takes Cybersecurity and other core classes.

Kanami: It’s good thing that Israelites celebrated towards God in joy that they had, but later people became not serious. From here, she learned that it’s important to not be self centered, but worship God. Also to remind yourself of what Jesus did and thank about that, and spread and talk to others.

From her week, she shared that her boss got injured/had burn, so she helped her boss at work. And prayed for her to heal during house church

Hiyori: I learned that it’s important to be sanctified in heart. and know importance of why you sanctify and to live towards Sunday service during the week.

I shared about how I started new semester yesterday, and one of the class, writing for kinesiology is expected to be excessive writing class.

Seiyu: From here, he learned that like Nehemiah, it’s important to know to take responsibility of their actions. Applying that, whenever he’d be the leader of the youth, he realized to take responsibility of activity that is done as group.

He shared that it was his mom/Ranja san’s birthday and he and his family went to celebrate at the Vietnamese restaurant, and also ate cake.
In the end, Akari prayed about Timothy because Otsu San is gone for work next couple weeks.

Nehemiah 9-10

He had a math test this week and it was pretty easy. But, school still sucks.

先週の日曜日に学んだ証しについて、9章に当てはめて考えてみました。証しは、神様がどれほど良い方で、いつも私と共にいてくださるかを思い出すのに役立つので重要です。他の人に証しを分かち合うことで、人生における祝福はすべて神様のおかげであることを思い出し、謙遜な気持ちを保つことができます。ですから、将来また試練に直面したとき、常に証しをすることで、神様が私を乗り越えさせてくださるという信仰に立ち続けることができるでしょう。

今の私の人生における最大の証しは、まさみさんとジュンさんの助けを通して、神様が私の命を救ってくださったことです。これは、私ができるだけ多くの人に分かち合いたい証しです。お二人が私を気遣ってくださった時間と努力に心から感謝しています。また、この出来事を通して、神様が本当に私と共にいてくださり、決して私を見捨てないということを改めて実感しました。

私はアニメ「呪術廻戦」のシーズン3を見始めたことを話しました。また、ジェームズと一緒に新しい曲の練習を始めたことも話しました。彼は様々な音にチューニングする方法を教えてくれて、とても面白かったです。ギターの通常のチューニングはE音ですが、彼はD音にチューニングする方法を教えてくれました。

エミリ

エミリは、聖書は神の王国回復の物語であるということを学んだと話しました。アダムとエバの時代、彼らはこの相続を失いました。しかし、出エジプト記でイスラエル人が約束の地に入ったことは、イエスが私たちのために取り戻してくださった相続を予示しています。神様は、私たちがこの福音を周りの人々に伝えることを望んでおられます。これらの章を読むことで、彼女はそのことを思い出し、これからも伝え続けていきたいと思ったそうです。

今週、彼女は久しぶりにテニスを練習しました。打球が上達したことに気づいたそうです。

ティモシー：

9章では、人々が傲慢で不信仰であったことが分かります。彼らは、自分たちが受けているすべての繁栄が神様のおかげであることを理解していませんでした。彼らは約束の地で自分たちの食料のために働いていましたが、それは神様が彼らに土地を与え、肥沃にしてくださったからこそできたことでした。すべては神様の守りのおかげでした。人々はそのことを忘れ、自己中心的になってしまいました。

10章では、 10、彼らは悔い改め、「神様は私に何をしてくださるのだろう」という考え方から「私は神様のために何ができるだろう」という考え方に変わりました。このことを実践する中で、ティモシーは、人生で物事がうまくいっている時こそ、それが神様のおかげであることを忘れてはならないと学びました。彼が成功できたのは、神様の導きがあったからこそです。さらに、神様が自分にしてくださったことを周りの人々と分かち合うべきだと気づきました。それが神様に感謝を表す良い方法だと信じているからです。

今週、彼は数学のテストがありましたが、とても簡単でした。でも、学校はやっぱりつまらないです。

トーマス

トーマスは、たとえ小さなことであっても、神様が自分にしてくださったすべてのことに常に感謝すべきだと学びました。

彼は、陸上部の練習でスタンドを使ったトレーニングをしたことについて話しました。

祈り：

新しいグループができて、ギターグループで新しい賛美歌の練習を始めたので、エミリは私たちがもっと真剣に賛美に取り組めるように祈りました。

聖句：詩篇100篇4節

午前10時に集まり、参加者はカナミ、ヒヨリ、アカリ、そしてセイユでした。ネヘミヤ記11章を読みましたが、この章はほとんど人名の羅列だったので、特に分かち合うべき内容がありませんでした。そこで、代わりにそれぞれのこの一週間の出来事を話すことにしました。

カナミは、今週もいつも通り仕事をしたと話しました。アカリはヒヨリと一緒に映画「ダビデ」を観たと話し、映画がダビデの母親やヨナタンなど、ダビデの身近な人々にも焦点を当てていたのが良かったと言っていました。私が選んだハイキングコース、トレイル・キャニオン・フォールズについても話しました。アカリとヒヨリは2年前の夏にそこに行ったことがあり、素敵なコースだけど日陰が少ないと教えてくれました。

マーティン・ルーサー・キング・ジュニア・デーの青少年向け活動があるため、月曜日は聖書朗読会を休みにし、ネヘミヤ記の残りの2章は水曜日に読むことにしました。最後にカナが、これから始まる大学の学期に向けて、神様が私たちを導き、守ってくださるよう祈ってくれました。

We started at 10 a.m., and the participants were Kanami, Hiyori, Akari, and Seiyu. We read Nehemiah 11, but we didn’t have much to share about today’s chapter since it mostly contained a long list of names. As a result, we decided to share about our weeks instead.

Kanami shared that she worked this week as usual. Akari shared that she watched the movie David with Hiyori, and she liked how the movie also focused on people close to David, such as his mother and Jonathan. We also talked about the hiking trail I chose, Trail Canyon Falls. Akari and Hiyori shared that they went there two summers ago and said it is a nice trail, but it doesn’t have much shade.

We also decided not to read on Monday due to Martin Luther King Day youth activities and to read the last two chapters of Nehemiah on Wednesday. Kana then prayed for our upcoming college semester, asking that God would guide us and keep us safe.

Nehemiah 8

I shared how reading this passage reminded me of something I learned from Masami-san recently, which was that always being joyful makes it easier for God to bring miracles in my life. The specific case she was using for me was regarding my family and how we should always stay happy/rejoicing.

Emiri learned how it’s always important to thank God/praise him–like how we did during the prayer meetings at camp where we would call on Jesus–remembering that it is he who makes everything happen.
She shared how her English class has begun preparing for debate, they are currently in the process of choosing topics. I asked her about her tennis team and whether they’re in season right now. She said no, her season is during the fall, so they’re not really practicing right now.

Timothy brought up multiple verses (v.8 & 14) that stood out to him. From these, he shared that he wanted to experience the joy that you get from learning/understanding God’s word. He desires to come to understand God and wants to faithfully obey what God tells him to do.
He shared how he didn’t really do anything, so I asked about how his school is and whether he has a subject that is the most interesting/easiest to learn. He said they’re all fairly easy.

Tomas shared the same thing of desiring the joy you get from coming to know God and his word.
Tomas shared how he had track practice the other day. I asked him about his track team and when his season was. He wasn’t really sure. I then decided to ask him what his hardest track workout has been. He shared how he felt like throwing up doing 5x200m.

Prayer:
I wanted to pray that all of us can be good witnesses at school/wherever we may go. Not by “trying” to share the gospel, but by simply being ourselves and that the Holy Spirit may do his work through us.

ネヘミヤ記 8章

この箇所を読んで、最近マサミさんから教わったことを思い出したと話しました。それは、常に喜びにあふれていると、神様が私の人生に奇跡を起こしやすくなるということです。彼女が私に話してくれた具体的な例は家族のことでした。家族はいつも幸せで、喜びにあふれているべきだという話でした。

エミリは、神様に感謝し、賛美することがいかに大切かを学びました。キャンプでの祈りの集会でイエス様を呼び求めたように、すべてを成し遂げてくださるのは神様であることを覚えておくべきだと話しました。
彼女は、英語の授業でディベートの準備を始めたところで、今はテーマを選んでいる最中だと話しました。彼女のテニスチームについて、今はシーズン中なのかどうか尋ねました。彼女は、シーズンは秋なので、今は練習はしていないと言いました。

ティモシーは、心に残った聖句（8節と14節）をいくつか挙げました。それらの聖句から、神様の言葉を学び、理解することから得られる喜びを体験したいと話しました。彼は神様を理解したいと願っており、神様が命じられることに忠実に従いたいと思っています。
彼は特に何もしていないと言っていたので、学校の様子や、一番興味のある科目、あるいは一番簡単に学べる科目があるかどうか尋ねました。彼はどれもかなり簡単だと言いました。

トーマスも、神様とその言葉を知ることから得られる喜びを求めていると話しました。
トーマスは先日陸上競技の練習があったと話しました。彼の陸上チームのことや、シーズンはいつなのか尋ねました。彼はよく分かっていないようでした。そこで、これまでで一番きつかった練習は何かと尋ねてみました。彼は5×200m走をした時に吐きそうになったと話しました。

祈り：
私たち全員が、学校や行く先々で良い証人となれるように祈りたいと思います。福音を「伝えよう」と努力するのではなく、ただありのままの自分でいることで、聖霊が私たちを通して御業を行ってくださるように祈ります。

Nehemiah 6-7

Emiri learned that times have become less strict nowadays as before only certain people could become priests but now because of what Jesus did for us, we can all become priests. However, even though it is not as strict as it was before, we should still take it with the same seriousness.
As for her week, she shared that her school started and she has a lot of hw.

I shared how Nehemiah’s circumstances went against what he desired (the rebuilding of the temple) however, he stood strong in his faith in God and continued to believe. I applied this to what I had learned from the camp and the recent sermons about having a strong desire and continuing to believe despite what the earthly circumstances present.
I shared how my school started and I’m enjoying my new classes as they are interesting.

Timothy shared how we should trust in God despite the circumstances. He talked about ch.6:10-11 how Nehemiah was told to hide, but he refused. There, he saw how Nehemiah really trusted that God was with him, present with him. Timothy wants that same faith, to be able to ask God to help him do his (God’s) work, because although he (Timothy) wants to live for God, he understands that he is weak in the flesh and thus, wants God’s strength to help him to be humble. He also learned that God is not confined to physical places like church and that he is everywhere.
For his week, he shared how school started, and it sucks. But, fortunately, he’s got his brand-new self-built PC (he built a PC mostly by himself with a bit of help from his friend from scratch) to play games with his friends.

Tomas shared that we shouldn’t allow people to tell us what we can/cannot do. He applied this to how in high school, he may receive a lot of criticism, but he shouldn’t be swayed by it, instead he should simply learn from it and move on.
He shared his school started but other than that, he didn’t really do much.

Prayer:
I wanted to pray about the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr Day which we decided we’ll spend together; that we’ll be able to come up with something that everyone will enjoy.

エミリは、今は昔ほど厳しくなくなったことを学びました。以前は特定の人しか祭司になれませんでしたが、イエス様が私たちのためにしてくださったことのおかげで、今では私たち全員が祭司になれるのです。しかし、以前ほど厳しくなくなったとはいえ、私たちは依然として同じ真剣さで向き合うべきです。
彼女は今週のこととして、学校が始まり、宿題がたくさんあると話しました。

私は、ネヘミヤの状況が彼の望み（神殿の再建）に反していたにもかかわらず、彼は神への信仰を強く持ち続け、信じ続けたことを話しました。私はこれを、キャンプや最近の説教で学んだ、地上の状況がどうであれ、強い願望を持ち、信じ続けることの大切さに結びつけました。
私は学校が始まったこと、そして新しい授業が面白くて楽しんでいることを話しました。

ティモシーは、状況に関わらず神を信頼すべきだと話しました。彼はネヘミヤ記6章10-11節について話し、ネヘミヤは隠れるように言われたにもかかわらず、それを拒否したことを挙げました。そこで彼は、ネヘミヤが神が自分と共にいてくださると心から信じていたことを知りました。ティモシーは同じような信仰を持ちたい、神の働きをするために神に助けを求めたいと思っています。なぜなら、彼は神のために生きたいと願っているものの、自分は肉体的に弱いことを理解しており、謙遜でいられるように神の力が必要だと感じているからです。彼はまた、神は教会のような物理的な場所に限定されるのではなく、どこにでもおられることを学びました。
今週のこととして、彼は学校が始まったこと、そしてそれが最悪だと話しました。しかし幸いなことに、彼は友人の助けを借りながらほぼ一人で組み立てた真新しい自作PCで友達とゲームをすることができます。

トーマスは、人々に何ができるか、何ができないかを決めさせてはいけないと話しました。彼はこれを、高校で多くの批判を受けるかもしれないが、それに惑わされるべきではなく、そこから学び、前に進むべきだということに当てはめました。
彼は学校が始まったことを話しましたが、それ以外は特に何もなかったそうです。

祈り：
私たちは一緒に過ごすことにしたマーティン・ルーサー・キング・ジュニア・デーについて祈りたいと思いました。皆が楽しめるような計画を立てられるように祈ります。

朝の聖書グループは10時から始めました。ネヘミヤ8章を読みました。参加者は、せいゆ、あかり、ひより。かなみは仕事の為、不参加でした。

私は、神様のことばを聞くことが大切で、それが私たちに何を言っているのかを考えて知っていくことも大切だと学びました。ネヘミヤや他のイスラエル人たちがそれを理解して、喜びがあったように、私も同じようにしていく必要があるとシェアしました。

あかりは、ネヘミヤが読んでいてイスラエル人たちが律法の書を聞いた時のように、指摘されたら悪い事をしてしまったと反省はできる。それだけでなく、そこから自分たちが赦されたことを知ることから本当の喜びがあるとシェアしました。これは、参加した聖書キャンプの時にある喜びなどに当てはまることで、ただ単に楽しい時間を過ごすだけではない事を話しました。

せいゆは、10節が特に印象に残ったとシェアしました。本当の喜びは神様から来ること。自分がジムに行くことなども楽しいけれど、それは神様から来る喜びとは比べ物にならない事だとシェアしていました。

最後にもっと多くの人、特に大学生や高校生などが教会に来るように祈りました。

The morning Bible study group started at 10:00 AM. We read Nehemiah Chapter 8. The participants were Seiyu, Akari, and Hiyori. Kanami was unable to attend due to work.

I shared about how listening to God’s word is important, but also to understand what that tells us is important. By knowing that, Nehemiah and other Israelites had taken action and had joy, I need to do the same.

Akari shared about when you’d know you’ve done wrong, but then true joy comes from knowing you are forgiven by God, such as when Nehemiah and the Israelites heard the book of the law. This applies to joy we have from the bible camp that we had, and not from just having fun.

Seiyu shared that Verse 10 stood out to him, which he said one can only find true joy in God. Other things like going to the gym make him happy, but that can’t be compared to the joy that comes from God.

We prayed about more people, especially youth/college students and high school students to come to church.

今日の朝、10時からネヘミヤ6章と7章を読みました。
参加者はせいゆ、ひより、あかりとかなみでした。レポートは順番に書いて送ることにしました。

ひよりはネヘミヤが兄弟たちを門衛として任命された理由が他のよりも神を恐れていた所が興味深かったと言っていました。門衛は他の仕事と比べたら立って見張をする役目であり、それでもネヘミヤが任命された者たち、全てが神様の目には意味があるものであることを知りました。

あかりはネヘミヤがおもだった人々や、代表者たちや、民衆を集めたとき、誰からも指示されたわけではなく、神様が彼の心を動かしたことそこから神様が全ての人を通して働き、具体的に何をすべきかを示してくださるから私たちも誰かに示される前に神様の具体的な導きに従って行動することが大切だと学びました。

せいゆはサタンが人々を利用して罪を犯させること、それがクリスチャンに対する目的であることも知り、その状況の時イエス様はどう行動するかを考えることが大切であることを学びました。

私は城壁が完成して、敵の人たちがそれを聞いた時に恐れて面目を失ったのは神様によってなされたことを知った所が印象的で全部神様がもう計画した通りに起こったことだと知りました。最近のメッセージでも、もう私たちは神様の計画の中にいてセットしてあることを知ったので神様の働きは大いなるものであることをもっと知れました。

今週の出来ことはみんなキャンプにいたのでシェアはしていません。
最後に祈りの課題で小学生から高校生まで新学期が始まったので、ちゃんとキャンプで学んだことを忘れず、適用して、勉強もちゃんとして成長できることを祈り、異言で祈りました。

This morning, starting at 10:00, we read Nehemiah chapters 6 and 7.
Participants were Seiyu, Hiyori, Akari, and Kanami. We decided to write and send the report in order.

Hiyori found it interesting how Nehemiah charged his brothers as a gatekeepers because they feared God more than other men. Compared to other jobs, gatekeepers was a role that involved standing and watching, yet she learned that all those Nehemiah appointed held meaning in God’s sight.

Akari learned that when Nehemiah gathered the nobles, the officials, and the common people, he was not instructed by anyone—God had moved his heart. From there, God worked through all those people, revealing specifically what to do. Therefore, it is important for us too, before receiving instructions from anyone, to act in obedience to God’s specific guidance.

Seiyu learned that Satan uses people to commit sin, that this is his purpose toward Christians, and that it is important to consider how Jesus would act in such situations.

I was struck by when the wall had been completed, and upon hearing this, the enemy was terrified and disgraced—knowing it was done by God. I understood everything had unfolded exactly according to God’s plan. Through recent messages as well, knowing we are now firmly set in God’s plan has deepened my understanding of the greatness of God’s work.

We didn’t shared what we did this week since we were all at camp.
Finally, for the prayer request, since elementary through high school students have started their new semester, we pray and prayed in tongues that all wouldn’t forget what they learned at camp, would apply it, study diligently, and grow.

今日は午後8時から聖書朗読会を始め、ネヘミヤ記5章と6章を読みました。参加者はひより、あかり、えみり、ティモシー、そして私でした。日本から何人かの方が午後7時頃に成川家に来られたため、ミーティング時間を午後8時に変更しました。

ひよりは、神様は求める者、願う者に力を与えてくださることを学びました。彼女はキャンプの荷造りを終えたと話してくれました。あかりは、サタンに騙されず、何が正しくて何が間違っているかを判断するためには、神様からの知恵が必要であることを学びました。彼女はジュリと一緒にニット帽を作り、みのりに裁縫を教えたと話してくれました。

えみりは、見返りを期待せずに与えることの大切さを学びました。彼女は今週、学校の宿題をいくつか終わらせたと話してくれました。

ティモシーは、神様を敬い、常に神様を信頼することについて学びました。また、ネヘミヤは地上での生活の後の人生について考えていたことにも気づいたそうです。彼は火曜日にノッツベリーファームに行ったこと、そして壊れたパソコンを修理していることを話してくれました。

私は、神様に忠実であり、神様の目に正しいことを行っている限り、神様は力を与えてくださることを学びました。その後、ティモシーが今後のキャンプ、参加者全員の安全、そして霊的な成長のために祈りました。それから、私たちは数分間異言で祈りました。

Today, we started reading at 8:00 pm, and we read Nehemiah 5 and 6. The participants were Hiyori, Akari, Emiri, Timothy, and Seiyu. We changed the meeting time to 8:00 pm because some people from Japan came to the Narikawa family’s house around 7:00 pm.

Hiyori learned that God grants strength to those who ask and have the desire. She shared that she finished packing for camp. Akari learned that you need wisdom from God so that you won’t be tricked by Satan and can discern what is right or wrong. She shared that she made a beanie with Juri and taught Minori how to sew.

Emiri learned the importance of being a giver and not expecting anything in return. She shared that she finished some school homework this week.

Timothy learned about having reverence for God and trusting Him at all times. He also noted that Nehemiah was thinking more about his next life after earth. He shared that he went to Knott’s Berry Farm on Tuesday and that he was repairing his broken PC.

I learned that God will strengthen you as long as you are faithful to Him and do what is right in His eyes. Afterwards, Timothy prayed for the upcoming camp, for everyone’s safety, and for spiritual growth. Then, we prayed in tongues for a few minutes.

We started reading at 7:33 pm and read Nehemiah 4. The participants were Tomas and Seiyu. Hiyori, Akari, and Emiri couldn’t join because they were attending house church. Timothy didn’t join today. Tomas learned about perseverance and shared that he wants perseverance from God for the track and field season next semester. He also mentioned that he watched Avatar 3 and thought it was better than the second one. I learned that God gives us strength, so we have nothing to fear in this world. I shared that I had sushi and Korean barbecue with my family yesterday.

えみりは、ネヘミヤのように、私たちも一瞬一瞬を神様と共に生きるべきだと学びました。彼女は昨日、クラスメートと一緒にハンティントン図書館に行ったと話していました。

トマスは今日の章について特に話すことはありませんでした。彼は今週、期末試験を受けたことを話していました。

私は、ネヘミヤのように、何をするにもすべての栄光を神に帰すべきだと学びました。私は母と一緒に「はじめの一歩」というアニメを見始めたことを話しました。

Today, we started reading at 7:30 p.m., and we read Nehemiah chapters 2 and 3. The participants were Hiyori, Akari, Emiri, Tomas, and Seiyu. Timothy did not join today. Tomas shared that he couldn’t join yesterday because he had volunteer work.

Akari learned that everyone has an assigned role from God and that we are responsible for our own parts. She shared that she participated in her high school’s soccer alumni game this morning.

Hiyori learned that Nehemiah used his position to rebuild the walls, and in the same way, she should use her position as a Christian to spread the good news.

Emiri learned that we are to live moment by moment with God, just as Nehemiah did. She shared that she went to the Huntington Library yesterday with her classmates.

Tomas did not have anything to share about today’s chapter. He shared that he took his final exams this week.

I learned that we are to give all glory to God in whatever we do, just as Nehemiah did. I shared that I started watching an anime called Hajime no Ippo with my mom.

エミリは、神は常に約束を守り、人々が神のもとに立ち返る道を用意してくださることを学びました。彼女は、今週期末試験がすべて終わり、ホッとしていると話してくれました。

ヒヨリは、神は常に私たちを助けようとしてくださり、いつでも私たちを祝福する準備ができているけれど、それは私たちの信仰にかかっていることを学びました。彼女は、ジュリの学校のイベントで写真を撮ったことを話してくれました。

私は今日の章について特に何も話しませんでした。母の仕事に付き添ってアーバインに行ったこと、LA Fitnessに行ったことを話しました。私の近所のジムとは全く違っていました。

Akari learned that the truth that we are God’s children, which Nehemiah spoke about, should be acknowledged more, and that people should have more faith in it. She shared that today she and Hiyori attended Juri’s school event at Victory Park. They played a variety of sports, such as kickball, and the parents and teachers also participated.

Emiri learned that God always keeps His promises and that He always provides a way for people to come back to Him. She shared that she finished all her final exams this week and that she’s glad they are over.

Hiyori learned that God is always trying to help us and that He is always ready to bless us, but it depends on our faith. She shared that she took pictures of Juri’s school event.

I didn’t share anything regarding today’s chapter. I shared that I tagged along with my mom for work in Irvine and that I went to an LA Fitness there. It was very different from the gyms in my area.
