Today we read from 7:32 pm, and we read 1 Chronicles 10. We skipped chapters 1-9 as they are genealogies. Tomas left after we read the chapter, as he said he had something to do. We plan on reading chapters 1-9 on our own. Akari learned that Saul did not keep God’s word, which ultimately led to his downfall. She also learned that it is God’s will to listen to his word and to do activities according to his will. Regarding her week, she shared that she went around Long Beach and Huntington Beach to post piano concert flyers. Hiyori learned that it is important to do things according to God’s will.

She also shared that it is also important to always ask God before doing something such as participating in a certain activity. Regarding her week, she shared that she attended her summer classes during the week. Emiri learned that Saul died because he was unfaithful to God, and she also shared that it is important for her to be faithful to what the pastor, Masami-sensie, and Jun say. Regarding her week, she shared that she is currently taking a Spanish course. Timothy shared that it is important for him to trust God and to trust his words. He shared that he got a new phone. I learned that it is important to be accountable to the tasks God gives you. It is also important to act accordingly and to not alter your tasks in any way.

7/5 Evening Bible Reading

We started at 7:30, and we read 2 Kings 24 and 25. The participants were Hiyori, Akari, Emiri, Timothy, and Seiyu.Hiyori learned that God always gives his people a chance to turn back to him, and she thought it was interesting how in chapter 25, God allowed the people to be captured by the Babylonians, which shows that God’s mercy has limits. She also learned that continuously doing things that God dislikes has consequences.

Regarding her week, she shared that she enjoyed the hiking activity the most. Akari shared that from a third-person view of the events of chapters 24 & 25, it makes sense why God was so mad. She shared that the Israelites knew that they were doing bad things but didn’t realize it as they were stubborn and thought they were right. She also shared that it is important to humble yourself in situations where you know you’re in the wrong but won’t accept it. Regarding her week, she shared that the drone show was interesting, but she felt like the presentation of the show could’ve been better. Emiri learned that it is not good to have a false sense of security just because she goes to church, but rather it is important to attentively listen to God’s word and to take action.

She shared that the July 4th activities were fun and that it was nice how Faith was able to hike with us. Timothy shared that in chapter 24, verse 4, when it states that Manasseh shed too much innocent blood, which displeased God, it made him realize how much God dislikes shedding innocent blood. Yet, he decided to sacrifice Jesus for humanity, who had innocent blood as he was sinless. He shared that he enjoyed yesterday’s barbeque. I learned that Jesus is the answer to everything, as he was able to save humanity and bring people to God, which was what the kings in the Old Testament weren’t able to do as they chose to follow idols. I also shared that I enjoyed the barbeque, as it was nice talking and cooking with everyone.

7/3 Evening Bible Reading

We read 2 Kings 23, and the participants were Akari, Emiri, Timothy, Hiyori, and Seiyu. Akari thought that connection to 1 Kings 13 in today’s chapter was interesting. She also learned that the roots of sin didn’t change for the people as they continued worshipping idols. Regarding her week, she shared that she started a new craft project, which Juri started. She also said that she is going to start sewing next week.

Emiri learned that it is important to continue to believe in the words of the Bible despite not knowing what the future will look like. She had a counseling class this week, and it made her think about college. She said she feels intimidated/unsure about college. Akari said that she should pray to God about it.

Timothy learned that it is important to dedicate himself to God, like King Josiah did. He shared that the people in 2 Kings dedicated themselves to idols, which was worldly. Regarding his week, he shared that he is continuing to watch an anime called Bleach. Hiyori learned that God’s anger can reach a certain limit, as stated in verse 26, and that it can result in judgment.

She also shared that she has one more summer class, which is a theater class. She shared that it ends in July. I learned that Josiah wasn’t afraid to do the right things, and I think this is an important mindset. I learned that it is important to not be afraid to do the right things despite what people may think of you or say about you. I shared that I injured my left shoulder from weightlifting and that it is important to always lift with proper form.

Morning Bible Reading 7/1 & 7/3

7/1
Time: 10:00- 10:40am

2 Kings 20 & 21

What We Learned:
Ch. 20:
From this passage, I learned about being humble. As someone who cares very much about what other people think of me, I have also tried to show off some of the things that I have. I realize now that that is because I do not understand my true image, which is in how God sees me. Nevertheless, he has been changing me day by day through Masami-san and Jun who have been helping me to understand the value that I have in Christ.
Another thing I learned was to think about others. I too have had the same selfish mentality that Hezekiah had of thinking that as long as I’m ok, nothing else matters. Even if someone else is in trouble, that is none of my business. I realize now that that is wrong, and in the same way that God cares for me and never lets me go, I should love others the same. Currently, God has been helping me to grow by giving me many opportunities to be a leader in the church, I have come to understand more about how I should think about the people that God has put under my responsibility through the guidance of Masami-san and Jun. It has allowed me to think bigger and is helping me to get rid of the mentality of only trying to see how other people can benefit myself.
Kanami shared about how she also has been learning to think about others as well. She applied this to how she felt about the praise time last Sunday. She thought it wasn’t good. She felt off and realized that she was only thinking about herself while singing. What she felt she should do next time is be a good example to the people that are watching so that they can see God through their playing.
After hearing this, I shared about how I was doing the same during the praise time. I instinctively start thinking about myself in the sense that I want to sound the best out of everyone. This results in a feeling of competition between the other players. That is not good. What I should be doing is, as Kana said, being a good example by praising God, really meaning what I say when I sing the lyrics.
Ch. 21:
From this chapter, I learned about how, as a leader, how you act determines how the people under you will act. Any person put in the position of a king carries a significant responsibility. The people that are under you may not always like you, but they do look up to you to a certain extent. This has made me realize the responsibilities I carry as a leader. As the leader, I often analyze how people are behaving and in the past, I would often allow myself to conform to those patterns. For example, if I feel that my group is not cooperative and does not really want to be there, I would also act as if I did not want to be there myself out of fear. However, If I conform along with how I think the people are acting, then I would just be allowing Satan’s to work all the more of making everything go wrong. Therefore, through these experiences, I have come to understand what it means to have the heart of a leader, once again through the help of Masami-san and Jun, and be the one to lead the group by always giving my best. That, I believe, will allow God to change the hearts of the people and bring them together.
Kana shared about how she could relate to what I was saying as she too, has had experience with being a youth leader.
Our Week:
Kana did not really have anything to share.
I shared about how the week before, I had mentioned that I wanted to go post posters at the Disney Hall since it was right in front of the Colburn School. However, I called them and they told me no, so that was that.
Also, I shared about the youth meeting we had about July 4th.
7/3
Time: 10:00 – 10:20am
What We Learned:
I shared about how I learned from this story that it is important to always ask God about everything, that is something he is been teaching to me to do currently. The first thing Josiah did was asking God, instead of going to people, that is something I need to do more.
Kanami shared about how from this passage, she learned from the actions that Josiah took, how after hearing the word of the LORD, he immediately repented, asking God what it is he should do. She learned how she feels that she should do the same by having an open mind more and always be ready to accept God’s word.
Our Week:
Kanami shared how she was able to get the off day for July 4th.

6/28 Evening Bible Reading

Today we read 2 Kings 21 and 22, and we started at 7:30. Everyone participated today, and Emiri learned that when King Josiah found the book of the law, he repented right away, which was a good thing.

She also learned that repentance is important as a Christian, and it is also important to reflect on how you live your life every day for God. Regarding her week, she shared that she joined the Cornelius meeting on Wednesday and she took a walk with the 11-year-olds. From her walk with the 11-year-olds, she learned that her friends/classmates are James and Esther’s tutors.

Hiyori thought it was interesting how there were varying kings in the Old Testament, as some were faithful and followed God’s commands, but some were disobedient and chose to worship idols. Regarding her week, she learned that her theater arts class is almost done and that she recently analyzed an old Japanese play in her class.

Akari shared that it is a good time now to pass out flyers, especially since all of us are on summer break, and she also shared that it is part of God’s plan. Regarding her week, she shared that she went to Hacienda Heights/El Monte to post the piano concert posters at various stores. She plans on going to Long Beach with her family next week to post the posters.

Tomas didn’t have anything to share. Timothy learned that God was angry during the reign of various kings in the Old Testament because of idol worship. This taught him the importance of getting rid of things that you enjoy but that God dislikes. I learned that the Bible has hidden powers, and it had the power to make King Josiah want to repent to God. I shared that it’s good that we come together every week to read the Bible online and that reading several chapters every week benefits us in ways we don’t see and/or realize. Regarding my week, I shared that I started re-watching Jujutsu Kaisen season 2.

6/26 Evening Bible Reading

Today we read 2 Kings 20, and the participants were Tomas, Hiyori, Emiri, Akari, Timothy, and Seiyu. We started at 7:33 pm, and Timothy joined sometime during the call.

Hiyori learned that it is important to have a strong desire so that God can use you. She said that having a strong desire is the first step and can be applied to things such as flyer time, etc. She also shared that last summer school class on Friday.

Emiri learned that Hezekiah was only thinking about himself and not his people, despite being faithful to God during his reign. Emiri shared that she wants to think more about the people around her and how her actions can benefit others.

Regarding her week, she shared that she went to Occidental College and Cal State LA for a school tour, and she said that the pool at Occidental College stood out to her the most. Akari learned that God sees and guides her individually as well as groups of people such as our church.

She also shared that she wants to find activities/hobbies that fit her personality, as she shared that everyone has different personalities. Tomas learned that when Hezekiah showed his earthly possessions, it symbolized him turning away from God.

Tomas also shared that the things on earth are temporary and that it’s more important to focus on God’s plan than on the things of this earth. Timothy shared that from part of today’s chapter that stated that Hezekiah wept bitterly, he learned that part of the process of repentance is to be honest with God.

He also learned that Hezekiah was self-seeking and wanted recognition from the people around him. He also shared that this week, he finished summer school and cleaned his room. I learned that Hezekiah was proud of his riches and that this led to his destruction. I learned that your gifts/talents come from God and are granted by him to be used for him.

Morning Bible Reading 6/24 & 6/26

6/24:

2 Kings 17 & 18
What We Learned:
Ch. 17:
From this passage, I learned about idols, not putting God first. In my life, I do have idols that I put above God, such as human words. To me, human words hold more value than God’s words. I go on emotional rollercoasters over what I feel people think of me or what they say about me. Nevertheless, with the help of the Holy Spirit, through Masami-san and Jun, I have been able fix this problem more and more by learning to speak my mind more.
Kanami shared about how the reason that the people kept turning to these idols was because they did not have God’s word in their heart, which was something she had learned about in the previous Sunday service.
Hearing Kanami share this, I also realized that the reason I’m so moved by human words is because God’s words aren’t in my heart, and therefore human words hold more value to me.
Ch. 18
From this passage, I learned how important it is to have the wisdom of God to be able to discern between human words and God’s words. Satan is very deceptive and without the help of the Holy Spirit, I know that as a human, I stand no chance against him. I have experienced this many times and have fallen for some because I did not have my guard up. Therefore, I want God’s words to enter my heart more so that I will be able to see through Satan’s deception and not fall for it.
Our Week:
For Kat’s birthday, Kanami and her whole family, with Ulan, went to a restaurant to eat. They had a very good time.
I shared about how I was planning to go to the Disney Hall to post the piano posters, since it’s right in front of the Colburn School. I had tried to go previously on a Saturday after the flyer time at Little Tokyo, but it was closed.
I also shared how I planned to go see “28 Years Later”.
6/26
2 Kings 19
What We Learned:
Currently, my goal is to heal my body completely before the piano concert and camp. Throughout this journey, there have been times where I have made mistakes which have ended up setting my body back a little bit to its former unhealthy state. Considering the fact that I spent 5 years breaking my body down, I sometimes end up looking at the circumstances of the time I have left until the concert/camp and it scares/overwhelms me. However, I know and have experienced that God is always on time, he is never too late or too early. Therefore, I trust in his time and continue to believe with faith that he will heal me before the piano concert and camp because I know that he is a good God and it is his will for me to be healed. He is bigger than my troubles and he will never fail.
Kanami shared about how sometimes at work, she gets overwhelmed since it is a high-level, private restaurant and the atmosphere is very intense. But, the story of King Hezekiah reminded her that God’s power is greater than earthly things, so it’s important for her to always trust him and act according to his will.

Our Week:
Last week, I was surprised to see Kana at the Cornelius Meeting, so she shared how she was off that day. The reason for that was because her boss received a star, a huge honor. Apparently, this is where a someone comes to the restaurant to review, appearing as an ordinary customer, and if the restaurant is doing good, they get a star. Moreover, it seems that her boss is one of the first female chefs to receive this honor. This also happened on the same day as Kat’s birthday, so it was a very memorable and happy experience for her.
I shared about how I went to see “28 Years Later”, with my parents. I was first planning on going by myself, but Masami-san told my parents to go see it with me so that they would come to know what type of movies I like to watch currently. So they went. While watching the movie, I was more worried about whether my parents were doing ok, especially my mom.
As expected, they both did not like it, but I found the movie quite interesting. Apparently, the film was filmed with iPhones, so the cinematography/ camera angles were very up close and kind of chaotic for the purpose of making the audience feel as though you were there with the characters. There were certain scenes were full of tension and anxiousness making you grip the edge of your seat while there were other scenes that were full of emotion (I shed a tear).

6/21 Evening Bible Reading

We started reading the Bible at 7:30 pm today, and the participants were Hiyori, Akari, Emiri, Tomas, and Seiyu. Timothy is at his friend’s house and said that he will read today’s Bible chapters later and send his comments.
We read 2 Kings 18 & 19, and Hiyori learned that there are things in this world that seem good on the outside but are actually bad on the inside. She also noted that it is important to pray and ask God before making any big decisions, such as internships and jobs. Regarding her week, she shared that she and her family started moving back to their original house. She also shared that one of her summer classes ends next week.
Akari learned that in today’s chapters, it said that Hezekiah was successful in whatever he undertook, which is rare. She also noted that this was possible as Hezekiah obeyed God, and he was with him.
Regarding her week, she shared that she vacuumed around her house. Emiri learned that your motives are important and that if God is not with you, there won’t be any good outcomes. She also noted that it is important that you pass out flyers with a good heart, which allows God to lead you.

Regarding her week, she shared that it was raining in Pasadena in the morning, which she found relaxing. Tomas didn’t share anything. I asked him about his camping trip, and he said that the scenery was nice.
I learned that it is important to know who you are in Christ and to not be afraid to say that you’re a Christian. I also shared that the Israelites frequently worshipped idols because they didn’t know who they were in Christ and that they didn’t have a heart to represent God.

6/20 Evening Bible Reading

We started at around 7:30, and the participants were Timothy, Emiri, Hiyori, Akari, and Seiyu. We read 2 Kings 17, and Hiyori learned that actions that humans take, good or bad, deeply reside inside their hearts. She also shared how the reason why the Israelites couldn’t stop idol worship was because they worshipped idols in the past and didn’t repent to God. She also said that having a good mindset regarding the flyer time will allow God to lead her along the right path. Regarding her week, she shared that today she went to various places to post the piano concert posters. She also shared that she couldn’t go to her in-person class this week due to the LA riots.

Emiri said that through this chapter, she was able to realize how bad the idol worshippers were back then. She also learned that it is important to put God first. Regarding her week, she shared that she enjoys her mathematics class and that she has an upcoming school field trip to Oxy College. Akari learned that nothing good comes from serving two things, such as worshipping God and idols. She also said that it is important to do things that you know are good. She also shared that she wants to have the mindset of taking action right away and not procrastinating. Regarding her week, she shared that the highlight of her week was yesterday.Timothy shared that you cannot serve two masters at once and that he sometimes forgets how good God is.

He also shared that he wants to dedicate more time to God by reading the Bible instead of looking at Instagram. Regarding his week, he shared that summer school has been fairly easy for him, especially his chem class. I learned that the Israelites didn’t fear God as they continued to worship idols. Regarding my week, I shared that I thought I was going to die today, as when I was bench pressing, I couldn’t lift the weight up completely on my last rep. Thankfully, a nice man came to help me lift the weight up. I thank God that he saved me from a near accident.

6/14 Evening Bible Reading

Today we read 2 Kings 15 and 16, and we started at 7:30 pm. Everyone joined today’s Bible reading, and Emiri learned that King Ahaz changed things to fit in with other people, and she shared that she has the tendency to try to fit in with other people at her school.

Regarding her week, she shared that she passed out flyers at a farmers market near PHS and that starting next week, she will attend a summer program at PHS. Tomas didn’t share anything today, and Timothy learned most of the kids weren’t committed to serving God and did things they weren’t supposed to do in God’s eyes. Regarding his week, Timothy shared that she started watching an anime called Bleach. Akari learned that people around her, such as college students, tend to ask for help from the people around them.

She shared that you can only attain true help from God. Regarding her week, she shared that she went to various places to post the piano concert posters. She also shared that she went with her mom and her siblings. Hiyori learned that it is important to keep following God and his commands. She also shared that it is important to repent to God. Regarding her week, she shared that she went to pass out flyers today with her family. I learned that Ahaz couldn’t differentiate between things and words that are good and bad influences. He couldn’t differentiate because he didn’t have a relationship with God and didn’t obey his commands.

6/13 Evening Bible Reading

Today we read from 8:30 pm, and the participants were Tomas, Timothy, Hiyori, Akari, Emiri, and Seiyu. We read 2 Kings 14, and Tomas learned that God gives second chances for people to repent and be saved. We learned that he should use the opportunities God gives him more wisely. Regarding his week, he shared that he started volunteering at a summer school. Hiyori learned that God always gives you a chance to turn back to him and that it is never too late to turn back to him and repent.
Regarding her week, she shared that she had a midterm for her anthropology class. Emiri learned that it’s important to not take glory for yourself and that it’s important to have self-confidence in God and not in yourself. I learned this after reading about King Amaziah and that he was prideful and full of himself. Regarding her week, she shared that she is currently studying math and that she is starting summer school next week. Timothy learned that Amaziah became prideful because he didn’t have a close, personal relationship with God, like David did, and that this led to his downfall. He learned that having a personal, intimate relationship with God is important.
Akari thought it was interesting how God decided to save the people in 2 Kings 14 without them repenting. She thought it was interesting, as it doesn’t often say that God saved people without repentance in the Bible. Regarding her week, she shared that she is going to move back to her house next month and that she is currently moving her stuff back into the house. She has also been feeding animals such as squirrels. I learned that God has a lot of patience with humans, as we make a lot of mistakes as well as sin. We have seen this in the Old Testament, as many of the kings did a lot of things that don’t please God. From this, I learned that it’s important to have patience and self-control like God when dealing with people that are rude and short-tempered.

6/10 Morning Bible Reading

Time: 10:01-10:30am

Passage: 2 Kings 11&12

We first read 2 Kings 11 and shared what we learned from there.
From that story, I brought up a statement Kanami made from a previous chapter about how she learned that God always has a plan for everything no matter what goes wrong. In the same way, God had a plan to counter the destruction that Athaliah tried to bring. He hid one member of the royal family so that their generation could go on.

Currently in my life, my family is going through some kind of financial crisis. It is causing my parents, mainly my mom, a lot of stress. Therefore, it has been hard living with her because she becomes frustrated/angry about everything, especially when it comes to buying something (even groceries) or anything to do with money because she believes that we do not have the money to afford it.
I don’t want this to come off as offensive but I’m really beginning to see the mentality that she’s living by and I don’t want to live the same way.

Therefore, now that I have come to understand more that God is my real father (through the help of Masami-san and Jun), I have started to ask him to take care of situations that my parents seem unable to do.
For example, I plan to live in an apartment that is close to school but my mom is trying to make me commute by bus. I have asked God to take care of this situation of giving me a nice apartment to live in that is close to the school so that I won’t have to commute from far.
In the past, I always looked at the circumstances as a true reality that could happen to me. Although, it can be, I have come to have strong faith in the fact that if I trust God to take care of the situation, then he will make sure that what the circumstances show will never happen to me.

Kanami shared that believes the same: that God will take care of everything. She believes that faith is really important during situations such as these. God will use the circumstances to test our faith and see what we will do.

After this, we read 2 Kings 12.

From this passage, I shared about how I’ve been learning recently how important it is to put God first in the sense of giving your time to him. For me that would be helping in the church and tithing. In the past, I used to not really think that Hoshi was important, I more just saw it as volunteer work. Same thing with tithing, although I knew it was important in my head, it didn’t really have meaning in my heart, so I don’t think I was really giving with faith. However, now, I have come to understand its importance a little more than before. In addition, I really have strong faith in the verse Luke 6:38 “give and it will be given to you”. So, I’ve come to have more faith in the confessions we make during offering time and it has brought the desire in me to want to give more.
In the same way, with Hoshi, I have come to understand that it is an opportunity from God to be his vessel and be a blessing to others. Also, I’ve come to understand that it is also an opportunity to receive blessings from God. Although this may still be a bit selfish, it has stirred up a bigger desire in me to do more work for the church.
For example, in the past, I would have not volunteered to do something like helping with father’s day or even posting the piano flyers. But now, I have come to want to do these things a little more and I believe it is because God has been helping me to grow through all the help I’ve been receiving from Jun and Masami-san.

Kanami shared how she is the opposite, I believe it is in the sense that she has always wanted to do Hoshi. She has learned that it is a chance for her to see the bigger picture of what God wants to do through her. Therefore, she has been learning to see it as a way of what she can do for others.

In response to this, I shared about how I can learn from her in what she said about not just thinking about herself but in how she can help others.

In terms of our week, we did not really have anything to share. I did ask Kana if there was anything I needed to prepare for the Poke thing for Father’s Day.

6/7 Evening Bible Reading

We started reading at 7:32, and we read 2 Kings 12 and 13. The participants were Emiri, Hiyori, Akari, Tomas, and Seiyu. Hiyori learned that it is important to follow God’s commands completely and that it is not God’s will to follow incompletely. She also learned how there were good kings in the Old Testament, but some of them didn’t completely destroy idols. Regarding her week, she shared that she went to pass out flyers at PCC with Akari and Emiri. Akari learned that God is very patient, especially with humans. She thought about this as numerous kings in the Old Testament made the same mistakes over and over.

But, despite their immoral actions, God was patient. Tomas learned that when King Jehoash didn’t fully listen to Elisha and only struck the ground three times, this showed that he wasn’t committed to God and his commands. He said that he’s going to take a Spanish class, which he said will be hard for him as it is a language he isn’t familiar with. However, he said that he wants to stay committed to the class. He shared that he had a graduation party this week and that he went to a restaurant today in Long Beach and ate fish and chips.
Emiri learned that Jehoash’s action of not striking the ground more than 3 times showed that he didn’t have a strong desire to defeat the enemy. From this, she learned that it is important to have a strong desire and to have the same desires as God. Regarding her week, she shared that school ended on Thursday and that she went to pass out flyers at PCC with her sisters. I learned that many of the kings in 2 Kings were unfaithful and bad, as they weren’t obedient to God and didn’t follow his commands. As a result of their unfaithfulness, the people became unfaithful as well and worshipped idols. I added that it’s important to be a good leader, and I also talked about examples such as the importance of being good parents and being a good basketball coach.

6/5 Evening Bible Reading

We started reading at 7:33, and the participants were Tomas, Timothy, Emiri, Hiyori, Akari, and Seiyu. We read 2 Kings 11, and Hiyori learned God has a plan for everyone and that it is important to follow the words of people who guide you. Regarding her week, she shared that she went to one of the in-person summer classes, which is anthropology, and she also shared how she put the posters of the piano concert around her school. Akari learned that during the time in 2 Kings 11, the country was unstable and women/children couldn’t rule back then. She thought it was crazy that Athaliah ruled and that Joash ruled when he was 7. She also shared that this was all part of God’s plan.

Regarding her week, she shared that she went to see her cats a lot this week. Emiri learned that King Joash helped bring people back to God, like Jesus did, and she also learned that God will always have a way for us to go back to him. She shared that she had several days where school ended early and that on one of those days she played Flapjack with friends, which was fun.
Timothy learned that when he prays and does things like repent, he should immediately put it into action and not wait for God. Regarding his week, he shared that he had finals this week and that he had a CPR test. He also shared that he talked to his friend about his friend’s breakup, which led to them conversing about God. Tomas shared that he thought it was interesting how Joash was king at the age of 7. I learned that Jehoshaba has a strong level of commitment and dedication to hiding Joash for a long 6 years. I learned that she was able to do so as God guided and led her.

5/31 Evening Bible Reading

Today, we read 2 Kings 9 and 10, and we started at around 7:47 pm. The participants were Emiri, Hiyori, Akari, and Seiyu. Timothy joined during the sharing time as he said that his phone was off. Hiyori learned that it’s important to do and to continue to do what God tells her to do, as Jehu only followed God’s commands partially. She also thought it was interesting how in chapter 9, God told the prophet to run away. Regarding her week, she shared that she went to pass out flyers with Akari at PCC. Akari learned that Jehu wasn’t a good king, as he didn’t stop idol worshipping. She also learned that God oversees everything and that he has a plan for everything. From this, she learned that it’s important to solely follow God and no one else. She shared that she’s currently working on a specific kind of craft and that the hard part about it is that you can’t undo your mistakes.

Emiri learned that Jehu was goal-oriented and did anything to achieve his goals. She added that this is a good mindset to have unless you use it for God. She said that she wants to have this type of mindset and use it for God. Regarding her week, she shared that she had 2 presentations this week and that she finished making the yearbook of PHS with her yearbook class. Regarding the yearbook, she shared that it was nice to see something you worked hard on become tangible. I learned that Jehu wasn’t able to fully obey God as his motivations were bad. I applied this to the tract time in Little Tokyo and how it’s good to have the right motivation and heart from the start, so that you can consistently pass out flyers every week.
