2 Chronicles 17-18
Kanami shared how v.16 of ch. 18 stood out to her. She shared how she could see this truth in her life of how the people of the world are âscattered⊠as sheep that have no shepherdâ. They may not think they are lost, but they are searching for something. Therefore, she wants to be able to help these people. Currently, she is taking care of 3 new employees that have started working at her workplace. She understands that they are her responsibility as her boss has put them under her so she wants to be able to take care of them with the guidance of God.
Her week went well. She is happy that her boss is finally letting her cut the fish as this is something sheâs always wanted to do.
I learned how important it is to listen to your conscience. Everyone has a conscience (their spirit) to tell them what is right and what is wrong, however, if you fill your mind with worldly ideas and refuse to listen to your conscience continuously, you will eventually become deaf to it. Therefore, Iâve learned from Jun how important it is to be sensitive to what my spirit says.
As for my week, I shared how Iâm beginning to enjoy school.

2 Chronicles 19
Kana first brought up a question about why Jehoshaphat ended up helping Ahab. We kind of looked through the previous chapter together and found out that it was because Jehoshaphat allied himself with Ahab through marriage and so most likely because of the fact that Ahab was now a part of Jehoshaphatâs family, Jehoshaphat felt that he should help Ahab out to develop a better relationship with him. From this, she shared that Jehoshaphat probably knew that what he was doing was wrong, yet he still thought he should stand by Ahab. Therefore, she learned how itâs important to always be yourself and not go along with others. Itâs not good to try to copy or imitate other people, just be who God made you to be.
I shared how I also learned about not always going along with others. I can relate to Jehoshaphat because I tend to be the way he was, blindly going in and helping/going along with other people. To be specific with Jehoshaphatâs case, I feel like I can relate this to my relationship with my parents. Iâve come to understand, through talking with Masami-san a lot, that I shouldnât always go along with my parents or what they say. They are also humans and so they make mistakes sometimes. Therefore, itâs not good if I always look up to them for everything. My real father is God and so that is who I should always go to first.
As for our weeks, Kana stated how sheâs been feeling like the weather has gotten colder this week. She asked if it was the same in PV. She shared how she likes the cold weather more than the hot, because during the summer she could feel the sunâs UV rays. She also asked me about how my school is and whether I get to talk with anyone in my classes. I told her I donât rlly talk to anyone during lectures, but, our classes have discussion groups, during those times, I do talk with other people. I also shared how I practiced guitar with Hiyori yesterday and am planning to practice with Seiyu on Wednesday. Our schedules are quite different so we arenât available on the same days.
